Company Secretary

A Company Secretary is a person who is an in-house legal expert; a compliance officer of the Company. An expert in Corporate laws, Security laws & Capital market and Corporate governance. Chief advisor to the Board of Directors on best practices in Corporate Governance . He is responsible for all regulatory compliances of company and also acts as a Corporate Planner and Strategic Manager. The Company Secretary examinations are divided into three levels.

They are

• CS Foundation.

CS Executive Professional Examination

CS Foundation Programme CS Foundation can be pursued by 10+2 pass or equivalent students of Arts, Science or Commerce stream. Its exams are held in June & December month every year. SubjectsPaper-I Business Environment and Entrepreneurship (100 Marks) Paper- II Business Management Ethics & Communication (100 Marks) Paper- III Business Economics (100 Marks) Paper- IV Fundamentals of Accounting (100 Marks) CS Executive Programme Executive Programme can be pursued by a Graduate of all streams excluding Fine Arts.

Module 1 Paper-I Company Law (100 Marks) Paper-Il Cost & Management Accounting (100 Marks) Paper-III Economics & Commercial Law (100 Marks) Paper-IV Tax Laws & Practice (100 Marks) Module II Paper-V Company Accounts & Audit Practices (100 Marks) Paper -VI Capital Markets & Securities Law (100 Marks) Paper-VII Industrial Labour & General Laws (100 Marks) Examination Examination is conducted twice a year i.e. in June and December. Qualifying Marks A candidate is declared to have passed the Foundation / Executive / Professional examination, if he/she secures at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
